The collection contains reproductions of the photographs taken during the Warsaw Uprising for the Home Army Bureau of Information and Propaganda, employing about 40 photographers. Most of the pictures are anonymous, taken by Polish and German photographers, professional as well as amateur. The collection numbers approx 300 images, showing the many sides of the Uprising’s reality: the soldiers, armour, barricades, hospitals, sanitary units, everyday life, water supplies, street graves and the capitulation.
